“SANKALP FOUNDATION” founded by MRS. VAISHALY MITTAL. Mrs. Vaishaly Mittal has been actively working as a social worker since the completion of her education. After completion She decided to give the GOLDEN FIN through a better platform being a trust, It shall be charitable trust without any object of profit making and shall operate / render services throughout India without distinction of caste, colour and creed.
Finally in 2009 she established her foundation with the help of her husband Mr. Rajeev Mittal is named as “SANKALP FOUNDATION” which is an independently registered non-profit development organization committed with an aim to improve the quality of education, gender equality, social justice, disaster management, upliftment of weaker sections in the society and many more. Our key areas of focus are Health and Education, what we believe are the pillars of a fulfilling life.
“Sankalp” which supports women empowerment, employment, Good Health, Education, especially in weaker sections of the society working directly with children and youth as well as through large-scale collaborations with government systems, Sankalp programs reach millions of lives every year. Sankalp has grown in both scope and scale, with programs today reaching children, youth and old people across India.
Our mission is basically to create an environment where every child gets education and every unskilled person to get the job and employment skills so that they contribute in their communities. We are big believers in learning and continue to stay strong and resilient till we reach the very end.
We hope to initiate positive change – both within our network and beyond. We build capacity at the grassroots, facilitating self-management of resources through the establishment of social structures and support able to sustain themselves. Our team takes ownership of their actions and we take pride in holding ourselves accountable to our set commitments.
We believe that education is not just a recognized fundamental right: it is a powerful force to make a breakthrough from the cycle of poverty and to bring about change in society. However, it doesn’t simply imply being enrolled in a school guarantees one to be effective and fully functional, but requires a caring, nurturing, safe and healthy social and physical environment.
When we think of resources for any kind of development work, we think of money. Sankalp works on turning old material as a resource for hundreds of rural development activities. Build an economic bridge between cities and villages, by sharing surplus of one’s prosperity to address the lack of resources of another.
